YouTube TV and Disney Resolve Blackout With Multi-Year Carriage Deal
Google's YouTube TV and Disney have finalized a multi-year carriage agreement, ending a two-week blackout that began on October 31, 2025. The dispute left millions without access to over 20 Disney-owned channels, including ESPN, ABC, FX, and Disney Channel.
Subscribers were compensated with $20 credits during the outage, which notably impacted live sports viewership. The new deal includes ESPN Unlimited access for YouTube TV's base subscribers by late 2026, featuring WWE premium events. YouTube TV now gains flexibility to offer Disney networks in genre-specific tiers and bundle Disney+ with Hulu.
